Content Marketing 101

Content Marketing is an inexpensive form of marketing that works and true investment in your business that pays off over and over again. Even if you create a content today, it will still work one year from now. The main focus of Content Marketing isn’t just about marketing but its also about engaging and educating your audience as well.

Understanding and implementing the concept of Content Marketing is quite simple. To Content Marketing success, just follow these four steps:

Create a Website for Your Content

Consider your website as your content’s home. You work on driving traffic towards your home and let the magic of Content Marketing make the difference. It doesn’t matter what type of business you have, driving traffic towards your website will ultimately drive traffic into your store to buy or to purchase off your website.

Create Optimized Content in Multiple Formats

As mentioned previously, the content you create should be engaging and educating your audience about your products and/or services. You need to repurpose your content into different format to stretch the life of any content that you create. There are many forms that content can take such as Blog posts and articles, both on and off your website, short reports, eBooks, videos, podcasts and more are all types of content that you should produce and promote for effective content marketing.

Build Your Email List

Building your email list is the key to successful Content Marketing. You need to use keyword-rich content to attract your target audience to your website and directing them to sign up for your email list. Once they sign in, you can market your other content to them to keep educating them and encouraging them to purchase your products and/or services. This will be easier because they’ve given you permission to market to them.

Market Content on Social Media

Using Social Media is vital to market your content in a way your audience can share and comment on. Share all your contents on Social Media, including blog posts, articles…etc. Place buttons on your content so that other people can also share your content to their social media networks. This gives you an opportunity to attract the friends of your audience so that you can build a larger following.

Finally, just keep repeating the above steps. If you plan ahead by making content for every product and/or service you’re marketing, using a publication calendar or editorial calendar, it will be easier to create effective content on a regular basis – content that is educational, engaging and gets the results that you desire.

First of all I want to say terrific blog! I had a quick question which
I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to know how you center
yourself and clear your mind before writing. I have had trouble clearing
my thoughts in getting my thoughts out there. I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the
first 10 to 15 minutes are wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations
    or hints? Appreciate it!
